With the rise of generative artificial intelligence, parametric design, and immersive digital environments, architecture is no longer limited to the built. It extends into media territories—speculative, latent, and conceptual. Contemporary tools are no longer used solely to represent projects, but to generate forms, narratives, and hypotheses that are not necessarily intended to exist physically. The image becomes the project. Architecture becomes a field of visual emergence.
This course explores the critical potentials of this transformation. Through the activation of a latent space—a terrain of hybridization between styles, programs, narratives, and representational regimes—students were invited to create an Instagram account presenting a project positioned at the intersection of architectural speculation, visual storytelling, and tool critique.
Each project presented here takes a unique stance. Far from seductive renderings or easy fictions, these works challenge norms: What power does style still hold? How is a spatial narrative constructed? What remains of the author when images precede intention? What regimes of truth and ambiguity must architecture now confront?
In a world where the circulation of images is instantaneous, synthetic, and algorithmic, mastering these technologies is no longer just a technical act—it is a theoretical one. It is no longer simply about illustrating architecture, but about producing it as a critical field, a narrative space, and a performative fiction.
