The MAIA program (Master of Interior Architecture, HEAD – Genève) invites you to a series of conferences, called Creative Industries. They are held by established professionals and seek to give access to skills that can be useful in a career as an interior architect.

Speaker: Leonid Slonimskiy, KOSMOS Architects (CH)

Leonid Slonimskiy, born in 1987 in Moscow, Russia, is an architect and architectural researcher. He received architectural education in Moscow Architectural Institute and Columbia University GSAPP in New York. For more than 6 years Leonid has been a collaborator of OMA*AMO in New York and Herzog de Meuron in Basel. Leonid is a co-founder of an architectural practice, “KOSMOS Architects”. The office has won in multiple international competitions including Sports Center in Gorky Park for Nike, ProHelvetia Prize for performance architecture; Hans Cristian Andersen Museum in Denmark; Queensway Competition in New York; got nominated for Swiss Art Awards 2017; designed and co-curated an exhibition in Swiss Architecture museum. Besides architecture, office pursues several research and publication projects. Leonid’s academic experience includes teaching architectural studios in Bangkok’s Chulalongkorn University, INDA faculty of architecture and design as Adjunct Professor and leading multiple architectural workshops: AA Visiting School, for Strelka Institute, at University of Antwerpen, Hello Wood Hungary, Kotor APSS and more. Currently Leonid lives in Zurich and combines work in KOSMOS Architects and teaching a design studio in HEAD.
