Larisa Coman is an Italo-Romanian interior architect and designer based in Vevey, Switzerland. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in 2021 from IAAD. – Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design, where she studied Interior Design. During this time, she developed a strong sensitivity to interior spaces. After graduation, she gained professional experience as an interior designer, enhancing her expertise in custom interiors influenced by Greek architectural and design principles.
She then pursued the Master of Arts in Interior Architecture at HEAD – Genève, graduating in 2026, where she refined her skills and developed a more personal design approach. Alongside her studies, she worked as an interior architect. Larisa now works on projects of varying scales in Vevey.

Working While Living: Transformation of a 1950s Villa in Geneva into Housing
Working While Living is a response to the increasing pressure to demolish and build higher, offering an alternative: preserve the house and transform it thoughtfully from within.
The house lifts gently from the ground, leaving beneath it a level that is neither fully buried nor fully open. The lower floor becomes a kitchen, a library, and workspaces facing the garden at eye level. Windows sit at soil level. From inside to outside, roots, passing feet, a thin line where earth meets the wall. On the ground floor, six private rooms each have access to bathrooms along the central band. Two spiral stairs connect the floors.
The house is a choreography.
Those who live here are also its actors: apprentices, young workers, passing through a moment of formation, between learning and doing, between a room of one’s own and a shared threshold.
